privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Aubrey's Hair Adventures ("AHA", "we", "us") collects through aubreyshairadventures.travel, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we only collect what we need to answer you, run your booking and, if you ask us to, keep you updated.
What we collect
- When you fill in a form (the interest form, an event "more info" form or the email sign-up): your name, email address, phone number (optional), company or salon, the programs you're interested in, your message, and whether you'd like to join our mailing list.
- When you book and pay: payments are handled by Stripe on their own secure checkout. Stripe collects your payment details; we never see or store your full card number. We receive your name, email and payment confirmation so we can manage your booking.
- When you visit the site: our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. For visitor statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and send you the program details you asked for.
- To confirm, administer and deliver your Fashion Week Experience or Educational Workshop, including sharing what's necessary with venues, educators and travel suppliers for your program.
- To send you AHA news and offers, only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or emailing us.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal bases are: your consent for the mailing list; performing our contract with you for bookings; and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the site secure. You can withdraw consent at any time.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers who process information on our behalf: Cloudflare (website hosting and security), Resend (delivering form submissions to our inbox), Stripe (payments) and our email provider. Videos on some pages are played through Vimeo, which may set its own cookies when you press play. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Embedded video players and the payment page run by Stripe may use their own cookies, which are covered by those companies' policies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking records for as long as needed to provide our programs and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and then delete them. Mailing-list details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. If you live in the European Economic Area, the UK or California, you have these rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Children
Our programs are for professional hair and make-up artists. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
International transfers
We operate from Los Angeles and Lisbon, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, they use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
